This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Fault.

Fault (“the App”) is an offline mobile vibration-analysis tool that uses device sensors to display motion data locally on your device. The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or non-personal information.

  1. 1. No Data Collection

    Fault does not collect, store, process, or transmit any information. We do not gather:

    • Names, email addresses, phone numbers
    • Contacts, photos, files, or media
    • Location data (GPS or network-based)
    • Device identifiers
    • Usage analytics or crash reports
    • Advertising identifiers
    • Any information that could identify a person

    No data ever leaves your device.

  2. 2. Sensor Data Usage (On-Device Only)

    Fault uses the device’s accelerometer and motion sensors exclusively to display vibration intensity and waveform visualizations.

    • All processing occurs locally on the device.
    • Sensor readings are not saved, recorded, uploaded, or transmitted.
    • No sensor data is linked to any individual.

  3. 3. No Internet, No Cloud Services

    Fault operates completely offline. It:

    • Has no internet connectivity
    • Does not connect to any server
    • Does not sync or upload data
    • Does not use cloud storage
    • Does not include ads, analytics, cookies, or trackers

    The App is fully functional without network access.

  4. 4. Offline, Temporary Processing

    Any motion readings generated while using Fault exist only in temporary memory. These values are erased once the App is closed or reset.

    Fault does not create logs, profiles, or databases unless a future feature explicitly saved data at the user’s request.

  5. 5. User Responsibility & Legal Disclaimer

    By using Fault, the User agrees to assume full responsibility for all risks associated with interpreting vibration data displayed by the App.

    5.1 User Assumes All Responsibility

    The developer is not responsible for incorrect readings, misuse, or misinterpretation of sensor output.

    5.2 Not a Professional Instrument

    Fault is not:

    • A certified seismograph
    • A scientific measurement tool
    • An early-warning system
    • A safety or emergency device
    • A substitute for geological or emergency services

    5.3 No Warranty

    Fault is provided “as is” without guarantees of accuracy, reliability, or performance.

    5.4 Limitation of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for damages, losses, injuries, or consequences arising from use or inability to use the App.

    Use of the App is entirely at your own risk.

  6. 6. Children’s Privacy

    Fault does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13. The App may be used without providing any personal information.

  7. 7. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates signifies acceptance of the revised Policy.
