Additionally, Microsoft will introduce the ConectAI program, which aims to train 5 million Brazilians in AI skills over the next three years. This initiative is designed to boost the country’s AI innovation and workforce preparedness, contributing to long-term economic growth. The company’s plan also includes partnerships with various local organizations, such as educational institutions and government agencies, to extend the reach of its skilling programs.

Microsoft’s expansion will extend its data center operations in São Paulo, aligning with the Brazilian government’s goals to improve public sector efficiency and foster sustainability. This investment supports Microsoft’s commitment to innovation, technological infrastructure, and workforce empowerment, contributing to Brazil’s competitiveness in the global AI landscape.

In addition to cloud infrastructure, Microsoft is also making strides toward sustainability by working on renewable energy initiatives and aiming to become carbon-negative by 2030. Through collaborations with local companies like AES Brasil and startups like Mombak and re.green, Microsoft seeks to advance environmental responsibility while fostering digital transformation.

The investment also reflects Microsoft’s dedication to responsible AI use and community engagement through its AI Access Principles and the Datacenter Community Pledge, ensuring that the infrastructure benefits both local economies and global digital transformation efforts.
