During the success party for Gadar 2 last year, an unexpected reunion took place between Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan. Known for their longstanding feud, fans were thrilled to see them reconcile, marking an end to their rivalry that had captivated the entertainment industry for years.

Directed by the legendary Yash Chopra, Darr was released on December 24, 1993, and received positive reviews across the board, quickly becoming a box office hit thanks to strong word-of-mouth. Over the years, it has solidified its status as a classic in Bollywood.

However, the film also strained relationships between Sunny Deol, Yash Chopra, and Shah Rukh Khan. Sunny played the protagonist, while SRK took on the antagonist role. Deol was dissatisfied with how his character was portrayed, leading to significant tension.

In a past appearance on Rajat Sharma’s Aap Ki Adalat, Sunny recounted his disagreements with Yash Chopra regarding the film's climax. He explained, “I had a heated discussion with Yash Chopra about that scene. I’m a commando officer in the film—an expert and fit—so how could this boy (Shah Rukh Khan) defeat me so easily? He could only win if I didn’t see him coming. If he stabbed me while I was looking at him, I wouldn’t be a commando anymore.”

Sunny went on to reveal that he was so furious with Chopra that he accidentally ripped his pants during the argument. “Out of anger, I didn’t even realize I had torn my pants with my hands,” he said.

After Darr, Sunny reportedly didn’t speak to Shah Rukh for several years. Reflecting on that time, he noted, “It’s not that I didn’t talk, but I isolated myself, and I don’t socialize much anyway. So we never met, which left no room for conversation.”

Fortunately, it seems that their differences have been resolved, and both actors are now in a much happier place in their relationship!
