Jeremy Irvine to Star as Gay Firefighter Turned Ballroom Dancer in New Comedy 'The Light Fantastic'

Jeremy Irvine has taken on an exciting new role! The 34-year-old actor will star in The Light Fantastic, a British comedy inspired by a true story, where he plays a gay firefighter who dreams of becoming a professional ballroom dancer.

The film also features Layton Williams, Rupert Everett, and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett. Set in Blackpool, it follows Irvine’s character, Jason, as he pursues his passion for dance and challenges ballroom traditions under the guidance of his traditional instructor, Reynolds (played by Everett).

Directed by Chris Cottam, The Light Fantastic will feature choreography by Dancing With the Stars and Strictly Come Dancing veterans Mark and Shirley Ballas.
