Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi, who recently starred in the action film Yudhra, recounted a surprising encounter with Shah Rukh Khan during his first meeting. In a recent interview, Siddhant shared that after the success of his breakout role in Gully Boy, he attended a party at director Zoya Akhtar's home. There, someone unexpectedly grabbed his hand, kissed it, and praised his work. “It was Shah Rukh Khan,” he recalled during his conversation with Mashable India.
Siddhant described the moment: “I was at Zoya’s house when someone held my hand. I turned around and they kissed my hand, saying, ‘You have done such great work.’ It was Shah Rukh Khan, and I was stunned—it was my first time seeing him in person.” He also shared another memory of running into Shah Rukh at a restaurant, where the superstar invited him and his friends to his home, Mannat. “I was hanging out at Soho House with some friends. Shah Rukh sir was there, and my friends urged me to say hello. He asked me, ‘What are you doing later?’ I said, ‘Nothing,’ so he invited us to his home,” Siddhant recounted, quoting Shah Rukh: “Voh launde hain toh hum bhi jawan hain.”
Additionally, Siddhant spoke about a touching moment with Salman Khan during his promotion of Bunty Aur Babli 2 on Bigg Boss. He became emotional on stage after Salman praised him, saying, “Before going on stage, he said, ‘He does such good work,’ and praised me a lot. At one point, he was even telling Rani Mukerji that I would go far in life. That really moved me.”
Siddhant also expressed his gratitude for a letter he received from Amitabh Bachchan after Gully Boy, which he considered very special.
Although Yudhra did not perform well at the box office, Siddhant is set to appear next in Dharma Productions' Dhadak 2, alongside Triptii Dimri .
